There are hundreds of public parking spaces throughout Downtown Cobourg to meet your short and longer-term needs. Our downtown offers several municipal two-hour FREE parking lots (Second St. Lot, Covert St. Lot, Third St. Lot, Hibernia St. Lot) and parking along King St. is currently FREE for three hours. Downtown Cobourg operates using metered parking and pay-and-display.

Downtown parking meters are enforced between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, including weekends and holidays. Parking rates at meters in the downtown area are $1.25 per hour with a 3 hour maximum. 

Parking Permits

Parking permits can be purchased through the (online or in-person). Parking permits are not valid at metered or pay and display locations. Parking permits are valid in Downtown Municipal Lots where permit parking is permitted.

Accessible Parking Permits

To use an accessible parking space in Downtown Cobourg, you must possess and display a valid parking permit. Regular parking fees are still applicable to all accessible spaces.

Downtown parking meters and pay-and-display machines will remain available however, HonkMobile is an alternative payment option at these parking spaces.
